This week is extraordinary for great strides in processing the woes and whims we have been through and the refinements necessary for a more fortuitous future of serenity and joy. Not only is Thursday’s New Moon in the sign of cleansing and refinement, but the aspects that lead up to and follow that help buoy the headway we can make towards an inspiring and progressive path forward. May the stars light up your spirit and help guide you home!

Moon in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces
Moon in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn
Moon ingresses Leo
Our Sunday morning is bound to feel like a lazy one. The lazing around may include copious cozy chow, copious cozy blankets, and copious cozy snuggles, so whatever we can do to facilitate those accoutrements should be undertaken. The dreams we may recall upon waking may have some mysterious meanings if we intuit well enough their contents.
We may also find that our security and comforts have some blind spots that could be managed a little better. The rigorous requirements to stay the course and hold the fort down may feel overwhelming and challenging, especially if important matters need to be faced today. That laziness can take center stage and thwart our needs to face the music, so addressing our priorities is advised.
As Moon ingresses Leo by early afternoon, we should hopefully feel more motivation to take care of those priorities mentioned above, so make the most of the pokey lazy morning. The windows of time allotted us for such contrasting emotional experiences can swirl us into confusion and disarray, but when we can snap out of those struggles our work can seem delightful.

Moon in Leo sextile Mars in Libra
Moon conjunct Venus in Leo
Sun in Virgo quincunx Chiron in Aries
Moon in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus
The shades of today are tinted by the relational hues of healing and purification. On one hand we find inspiration to relish our relationships and the excitement of what the future holds for them, and on the other hand we could come face-to-face with the reality of the pains we endure to make those relationships work the best they can. These contrasts that may have been playing out quite a bit lately are not to be swept under the rug.
When the purifying edicts of the Virgo Sun contacts the unfamiliar and juxtaposing territory of Chiron in Aries, what we feel like we missed out on all these years can feel unattainable. The discipline and hard work to find and achieve whatever that is can seem daunting. But if we adhere to those edicts of refining and structuring what we have to work with, and we allow ourselves to witness the desires of our hearts, we can find a way to make sense of the otherwise confounding clouds hanging over us.
Some temperance and pragmatism is called for this evening, despite our potential desires to laugh, dance, and play with our friends. Instead, we might choose to talk about our financial situation with a close confidant, or don our gloves and buckets and start scrubbing the grime out of the nooks and crannies of our house.

Moon in Leo square Uranus in Taurus
Moon in Leo sextile/trine its South Node and North Node
Moon in Leo quincunx Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn
The temperance of last night may carry over into our morning, possibly surprising us with some flares on the road ahead, detouring us someplace we were not expecting. Often these detours show us necessary aspects of our lives we would otherwise not seek on our own, so paying attention to the whys of their appearance can help us make better sense of ourselves if we allow them to.
When Moon harmoniously contacts its own nodes, we can sometimes feel as though we know which way we are heading and why. This can easily be clouded and distracted by more prevalent aspects in the cosmos, but placing it in our mind’s eye as a sort of Drishti can help us focus on the course that lies ahead and behind. What we lack, what we want, what others want, and what others lack are matters we are facing these days, and the value of understanding these things can help us through the confusion.
Tonight we honor the mysteries behind the losses we have suffered, taking shelter in the bold beauty that nevertheless still surrounds us day in and day out. We have the strength to endure, prevail, and shine on like the crazy diamonds we all are.

Moon in Virgo opposite Saturn in Pisces
Moon conjunct Mercury in Virgo
Today we will likely work on refining and improving upon our spiritual maturity, again weeding out the inconsequentials and unnecessary distractions that impede our focus on the natural and healthy rhythms of our days. Working hard to accomplish our priorities so that we feel imbued with that redemptive and uplifting sense of satisfaction is not something to scoff at, much less neglect on a day like to today (or ever!).
When Moon meets retrograde Mercury this evening, who is about to station direct, it is a quintessential time to engage in valuable conversations regarding all the issues we have been reflecting upon lately. With seven planets currently retrograde, we are all spending a good deal of our time reflecting upon matters in our lives that require deep examination and adjustments. So, it is ideal to take advantage of Moon’s reunion with Mercury in the sign of refinement, purity, and organization by openly discussing our feelings and thoughts about anything that needs improved or sorted out logistically, especially matters of personal or relational health and well-being.

Moon in Virgo trine Jupiter in Taurus
*New Moon at 21° Virgo at 9:39pm EDT*
Moon in Virgo trine Uranus in Taurus
For all the hard work we have been putting into our lives lately, today’s transits speak eloquently about the rewards we deserve. The betterment of our future lies in the awareness of our incongruities and malfunctions, as well as our virtues and aptitude to manage our lives well. When we are aware of our strengths and weaknesses, it makes it much easier to shore up our loose ends and change how we take responsibility for the processes that make life more fulfilling.
I cannot convey enough how valuable this New Moon in Virgo can be to tighten up our ship and recalibrate our course forward. The winds of the wild yonder will always be blowing, but if our tack is not aligned, especially due to distractions below deck, where we find ourselves in the future may not be exactly where we wish we could be. So, it would be absolutely ideal to find a small window of time to analyze and make a list of all that we can improve upon, but we need to be sure that we can see through to fruition whatever it is we put on that list.
This evening, we could quite possibly be inspired to find new approaches to how we organize and preside over our lives. This New Moon can instill such spontaneity and inspiration due to its harmonious flowing trine to rebellious and bar-raising Uranus. As we feel into our values and how we would like our future to unfold, we should seek to raise the standards we have held thus far and climb another few rungs up our long strange ladder of life.

Moon in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces
Moon in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn
*Mercury stations direct in Virgo*
Sun in Virgo trine Uranus in Taurus
The clarity and cleansing we have undertaken to beautify our lives may be greeted with certain delusions or confusions that diverted or confounded us for a long time this morning, perhaps making it difficult to trust and believe in ourselves that we can hold our course through the bogs of persuasion and alienation. Fortunately, reality eventually checks in to remind us what we have to lose if we don’t shape up and get our shit together. Hopefully this reminder will be a smooth and gentle one for all of us.
Wielding the virtuous torch of refinement that was lit on yesterday’s New Moon, we again find the power of grounded inspiration to get right and raise the bars across our lives. How can we get where we want to be from here? Is it far to go? Is there a more scenic route through the forest or over the peaks? Are we settling on the shore or along a river? Small steps eventually allow bigger steps, so taking this journey one step at a time can help facilitate greater strides into territories of divine inspiration! It is wise to exercise patience as we prepare for the road ahead, however. When Mercury stations, the standstill must be respected and honored. This is a time to assess, plan, and prepare.

Moon conjunct Mars in Libra
Moon in Libra sextile Venus in Leo
Venus in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus
The efforts of our refinements and the sparks of inspiration we hopefully have integrated into our processes yield some excitement and ambition today. There is a spark beneath us that wants to initiate and achieve, but some of those sparks might be setting the wrong things on fire, so we must be mindful of how we react and ignite today. Setting aside our differences is not always easy, and today could be one of those days, so we ought to be checking in with our temperance and acceptance that we do not always need to be in control.
Relationships often find themselves in varying degrees of quagmires, depending upon many factors, and today could result in an exposé on the clash of values and egos if we are not careful. Taking to heart the old adage that we have all had a rough go of life on one level or another helps remind us to cultivate and practice greater compassion towards everyone we meet and share space with in life. May we all continue to love and cherish the beautiful aspects of each other and the world we all live in.
Ever the journey of the unexpected, perhaps this week we can make some progress towards aligning more succinctly with our values and desires for serenity and clarity. Often the wildlife that meanders across our trails surprise us and leave us in awe, but sometimes they portend the need for caution. This trails we choose this week can foretell how much serenity or caution we should be expecting, primarily based on how excited we are to make it all work better for us and those we love. “Everyone is either making love or else expecting rain.” – Bob Dylan
