March 19-25, 2023

Pivotal transitions transpire this week. As Pluto shifts into Aquarius for the first time in 245 years, humanity is embarking on a 20 year period of massive personal and collective awakenings, a weeding out of the crooks who falsely promise progress, and technological advancements, some good and some scary. We are also feeling our passions turn inward toward safety, security, comfort, and nurturing. Let’s center our souls in clarity and serenity, because there is so much to look forward to!

Mercury ingresses Aries

Moon in Aquarius trine Mars in Gemini

Moon conjunct Saturn in Pisces

Moon in Pisces sextile Venus in Taurus

Our Sunday begins with an amplified fervor to be productive. The confusing Piscean waters are a challenging place for Mercury to thrive, so as it shifts to the ardent fiery realm of Aries, it is time to make headway on all that we have imagined and dreamt about doing over the past 17 days.

The desires we seek in this ignition of Mercurial charge is clarified by a harmonious trine between Moon and Mars, allowing understanding and determination to go forth and manifest those desires.

Later in the day, we are feeling the first Moon-Saturn conjunction in Pisces in a very long time. The instigating drive that painted our morning and afternoon paves the way for our emotional and transcendental inclinations and inspirations to be given the opportunity for materializing as structural foundations on which to grow. This allows us to embody our spiritual aspirations through sensuality and physical affection, as well as through bodywork, such as yoga, exercise, and massage.

Venus conjunct Moon’s North Node in Taurus

Moon in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus

Sun in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn

Sun ingresses Aries

Our transcendence is grounded by the value given to our physicality and our commitment to truth. However we experience the divine in our lives is rooted today in honoring our bodies that act as vessels to contain our souls, and the truth we respect and adhere to in order to evolve.

As we launch into the annual rebirthing cycle of Sun entering Aries today, we would do well to keep a keen eye on investing in our most prioritized values. Our financial security, our cherished loved ones, our physical bodies, and our self-sustaining endeavors are all painted across the canvas of our day. If we embrace these values and defend them as sentinels of our future, the elevation of potential is raised and becomes more available and attainable.

Moon in Pisces square Mars in Gemini

Moon in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn

New Moon in Aries at 1:23pm EDT

Moon’s late degree Piscean aspects to Mars and Pluto allow Moon to be an open channel between the latter two planets today, inspiring us to give gratitude for the cycles that are completing themselves: Mars’s journey through Gemini and Pluto’s journey through Capricorn. These final moments that take place before the New Moon at 1:23pm (EDT) instill reflection upon the longings we have had to complete our transformational work over the past 15 years. Make time to recognize all the ways we have grown and all the things we have achieved. Find pride and joy in this recognition!

With a New Moon at 0° Aries, our first breath of separation from the Piscean womb of bliss may find us screaming for clarity, security, understanding, and purpose, but rest assured if you are reading this it is not your actual first breath. This is an incredibly poignant Aries New Moon, being at the opening degree of the sign itself. What is it we really desire? How do we wish to manifest what we desire? If we can wrap our brains around these questions, we will have a destination, and how we intend to arrive at that destination is what is at stake.

Moon conjunct Chiron and Jupiter in Aries

This is a fine day to revel in whatever version of independence we have. It is not always easy to get away to solitude when we are enmeshed in a close relationship with someone, but it is intrinsically necessary to have this sacred time to ourselves on a regular basis.

As we spend time with ourselves, it is especially important to return to the inner space we call home. This is the candle burning in the heart of whatever darkness we struggle through on a daily basis. Sitting quietly with this candle and holistically immersing ourselves in our individuality and liberty to simply BE. The inner work and subsequent opportunities that stem from that work could come to the surface of our consciousness and make themselves known. What will we find?

Pluto ingresses Aquarius at 8:24am (EDT)

Moon in Aries sextile Mars in Gemini

Moon in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius

This is the big day we have all been waiting for, whether we knew it or not. Pluto ingresses Aquarius for the first time in 245 years and has been in Capricorn since 2008. The challenging influences of Pluto are meant to teach us the value of loss and suffering, and through that loss, we discover the light in the strangest of places. Sometimes we need death and loss in life; a composting of souls and experiences, if you will, to generate greater fertility.

As we move forward through this new cycle of Pluto in Aquarius for the next 20 years, the rollicking renovations and improvements that are sure to nudge their way into the collective will circle around the intrinsic values of societal innovations and whether or not they actually improve our lives. We will be improving the condition of society through exposing and holding accountable the people and institutions that do not improve it, including the ones who claim they do. We also will be grappling with the onslaught of artificial intelligence and its role in our lives, including how, if any of it, is of any value to us.

On a personal level, we will be awakening to our own individuality and uniqueness and learning to feel more confident about ourselves. Changes are inevitable, and these can come quite suddenly and unexpectedly, with retrospection reserved for a later time. Let’s hope the growth and betterment of our humanity becomes paramount to any potential disasters.

Riding the waves of changing tides requires an adeptness of staying highly attuned to the patterns of our lives. Remembering to always reflect upon our most important values will help to stave off any mishaps or wrong turns down regretful roads.

Moon conjunct Venus in Taurus

Moon conjunct Uranus in Taurus

Grounding ourselves in physical activities, sensuality, and delicious arrays of food and beverages help materialize and embody divinity through pleasure today. Our private moments evaluating the manifest joys we seek helps us better understand exactly how we love to live through the passage of time while incarnated in our physical bodies.

How can we better sustain our needs and sense of independent preservation? Reflecting and identifying with our abilities to manifest and maintain our own personal resources helps to instill the level of confidence necessary to achieve them. Exciting ourselves through this process for what lies ahead can inspire creativity we perhaps had not considered available to us before.

Mars ingresses Cancer

Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces

Moon in Taurus trine Pluto in Aquarius

After over seven months in Gemini, Mars finally shuffles on to the much calmer and introspective sign of Cancer. Our tendency toward excitable extroverted socialization will likely internalize to a passionate preponderance toward reflection and emotional processing. Though this sounds somewhat preposterous, it will make more sense as our sensitivities become more noticeable due to how much more important they will be to us. And noticing what is important to us is shaped by what we desire to understand and make sense of.

We desire safety, security, comfort, and nurturing. We want to give this passionately to those we love. We want those we love to passionately provide it to us. The drive to seal that silver mine becomes paramount, and we will do anything to make it happen. Don’t underestimate the seemingly obvious contrast between Mars and Cancer. We are driven to safety. Perhaps quite literally.

The dreams which we endeavor to achieve reveal themselves in spades today. The progression through life toward greater awareness and a more authentic self is perhaps clouded by pipe dreams that are beyond our reach at this point, but allowing ourselves to dream big, enhance our hopes, and expand our belief in what is possible never hurts the well-being of our souls if we remain mindful of realism and pragmatism.

If we work harder to relate to one another through kindness and laughter, we can embrace the changes and challenges that lie ahead together. Though life is often full of challenges, if we remain hopeful and friendly, our relationship with our dear friends, family, and those in our community will help pull us through it all, because sometimes we just need a little help from our friends.
