December 8-14, 2024

This week grows from the dark inner womb of the cold damp soil into the seedlings we are all striving to nurture within. What we struggle with may not always make us stronger, but this week it most likely will. The zeitgeist is emanating an intensifying pressure upon our already weary hearts and minds, perhaps making us question our mental capacity to withstand it much longer. This is the kind of pressure we may feel during the first half of this week, finally letting up and opening our hearts to some much-needed clarity and hope by Friday. The more we lovingly hold on to each other for support and encouragement, despite all our differences, the more we can find unity in that diversity to rise above the divisive rhetoric of our current zeitgeist. Be kind!

Moon conjunct Saturn in Pisces

Moon in Pisces square Jupiter in Gemini

Moon in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus

The tendency for a Pisces Moon to be a bit wishy washy is evident today, but with an angle that imposes some very important recognitions. The choices we make, the boundaries we set, and the limitations we face are all on the table. It can be very challenging to navigate these inevitable parts of our lives, especially when they are hard to notice and decipher, which they have been for quite some time with Saturn in Pisces.

Further challenging us today is a desire to drift into the wilderness, either literally or figuratively, when what is calling us is a need to make more sense out of our faults and shortcomings. We occasionally say things we do not mean to say, and as unconscious as those moments may be, we can hurt others or ourselves in doing so. How can we put forth the energy and commitment to being more aware of what we say and how we say it?

These values are also incredibly prevalent today. Are we making progress realizing how sacred all that we love and cherish is in our lives? Do we recklessly stumble and fall over our own misgivings? Maybe the best thing for us today is to take a cold, hard look at the reality that we have created for ourselves and decide what we are honoring and what we are neglecting. Finding a way through the foggy ruins of time can be gruesome and painful, but if we do not give up, we will find the fog lifts, the Sun comes out, and our path lies outstretched ahead of us more clearly marked than we could have imagined it to be.

Moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces

Moon in Aries sextile Pluto in Aquarius

Moon in Aries sextile Venus in Aquarius

Moon conjunct its North Node in Aries

Moon in Aries trine Mars in Leo

The haze of yesterday can linger through our early morning hours, perhaps still baffling us to some extent, but along comes an organic drive to lift us up and motivate us into our future with more vigor and excitement. It can be very hard to love and accept ourselves after all the wrongs we have committed at one time or another, but we always have to recognize in those moments that we are here to learn how to become more conscious and more loving and compassionate individuals.

We are likely feeling driven once more toward our goals and desires, hopefully learning from and rising above the distress that may have reared its head in the last couple of days. Glimpses of hope, progress, and even entirely new ideas may be beckoning us forward in the direction we should be going. The lighthouse may protect us from crashing our ship upon the rocks, but it also guides us toward our destination. A word of caution and prudence is called for, however. We can make rash decisions if we are not careful and tactful in our strategy to manifest our dreams.

Much can be flaunted and exaggerated as the day carries on, so taking deep breaths and thinking twice or thrice before we do anything is called for. The tendency can be to strive and reach for those exciting dreams and desires, impatient to show the world our magic and beauty, but if we are not conscious and mindful of our actions, that impatience will get the better of us and throw us into a tailspin of boo-boos. The ideal scenario is one of careful and sensible choices and actions. There can be a lot of fun available to us today, but our passions will need a bit of restraint if they are to be realized.

Sun in Sagittarius trine Chiron in Aries

Moon conjunct Chiron in Aries

The hurdle of accepting and loving ourselves despite our flaws and failures stands before us upon the racetrack of our lives today. Knowing how talented and accomplished we are after the long hard road we have trodden upon requires forgiveness and compassion toward ourselves. We may put ourselves down for not being further along that path of achievement, but when we look back and notice the barrage of distractions, impositions, and detours we faced along the way, we can come to a better understanding of why we are exactly where we need to be.

It is an ideal day to dream deeply into our hearts and discover more comprehensively what we love and wish to nurture in our future. While we might not know everything we are striving for, we can trust our hearts with the choices that arise down the line. We are surely feeling a longing and a seeking for pastures of glory and mastery, but we also know the hard work that must be applied to find ourselves there in the future. Let’s think and feel into how we can ease the burdens that might crop up along the way, and encourage one another to keep our feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.

Moon in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius

Moon in Taurus square Venus in Aquarius

Moon in Taurus square Mars in Leo

Stabilizing and grounding the exhilarating rush of the past few days may not be easy, but those footholds are there as we descend back down the mountain. This may be an arduous day for us to feel at ease. The demands of our personal struggles and transformations, our relationships, and our egos can feel overwhelming and put us under a good deal of distress. The underlying necessity is coming to a sincere and clear understanding of our values and how we honor and sanctify those values in our daily lives.

Are we respecting our resources enough? Do we realize how imprudent we are being with our money? It might be time we take a much closer look at our profits and losses and realign our spending to what we can afford and what we cannot, prioritizing what is most important for the sustainability of our lifestyle. We may also be recognizing our frustrations with how others are unwilling to make certain changes in their lives. Or maybe we are noticing our lack of effort to change our lifestyle to suit our means, or our stubbornness to let go of something that otherwise threatens our security and embedded comfort zone. Let’s try to notice the changes we need to make and why we should make them so we can grow and blossom into the glorious florescence we are capable of being.

Venus in Aquarius opposite Mars in Leo

Moon in Taurus sextile Saturn in Pisces

The rigid constructs that encapsulate and stagnate us may sometimes comfort us and allow a sense of security and familiarity, but they can also prevent us from seeing life through new lenses and experiencing moments we never imagined were possible. These could be some of the twists and turns we have to navigate through today, especially regarding our relationships and personal recognitions within those relationships. On one hand we want to reach further and higher and make things better, but on the other hand we think we have it all figured out and under control. Our egos must be humbled and tempered if we are to sincerely make the progress we wish to make.

Turning inward to face our own limitations and boundaries can feel like a wet blanket draped over our pleasures and joys, impeding and stifling our endless desire for happiness and serenity. We are at once wanting to embrace and indulge in the beauty of life and needing to face the stress and limitations it imposes upon us. Reconciling these contrasts today can teach and show us how to balance and accept this relatively inevitable paradox of life. We can enjoy the magical wonders and mysteries with all our hearts, but we also have to continue working hard to pave the smoothest road possible for ourselves and those we love and care for.

Venus in Aquarius sextile Mercury in Sagittarius

Moon conjunct Uranus in Taurus

Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces

Moon in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius

Moon in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo

Moon in Gemini opposite Mercury in Sagittarius

Out the angels come to sing their hopeful airs to our hearts and souls. We might not breeze through this day unscathed by disarray or disruption, but the clouds have mostly dissipated, and we can once again see the trials we’ve been through as teachers guiding us along our path of awakening. This may have been a tough week, and we may feel battered and bruised a bit from it, but our resolve was hopefully honed and bolstered by any optimism we held onto. And none too soon as we prepare for the Full Moon very early Sunday morning. The tides are rising, our vessel of consciousness is expanding, and we have a chance today to see through the darkness into the progress we will set out to make.

Much of this progress will be in the arena of our relationships and how we interact with others, especially the nuances and subtle tendencies we are becoming more and more aware of. It gradually becomes a very informative day through open communication and socialization. We can feel excited to share our stories, opinions, and ideas with people, but we have to try our best to be open and equally excited to listen to the stories, opinions, and ideas of others, too. Our personal ego and giddy, chatty, soapbox must be kept in check and humble in the company of others. Taking it to the limit is not the best idea today. What are we going to learn, and how are we going to learn more and work together for the greatest good of all?

Moon in Gemini trine Venus in Aquarius

Moon in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces

Moon conjunct Jupiter in Gemini

Moon in Gemini sextile Chiron in Aries

The exquisite inquisitiveness of our minds continues to flourish into today, opening even further within our relationships. Because of this, great strides can be made sharing our thoughts, ideas, and feelings with each other. There may be a bit of aloofness and detachment from our emotions in these engagements, but it is primarily a time for brainstorming inside our think tanks. This is not to say we will not get a little emotional, because there could indeed be some opposition and resistance to our thoughts and ideas. But if we can humble ourselves enough, we will be able to see such resistance as lessons to learn from others.

Because it is imperative we all start learning how to work and grow together as a more united and kind human race, we should take advantage of every opportunity to share, forgive, and accept one another for our differences; even relish the fact we are all so unique to each other. This kind of unity within diversity fosters hope and visions of transcending the battleground of polarity in the otherwise mundane social and political realms. How do we rise above the divisive discord ensuing all around us against our will?  We talk to one another, we let each other know we want to take the high road above the division, and most of all we act kindly toward as many people as possible as often as possible. Our legacy is up to us.

Our personal world does not have to be so poisoned by divisiveness, as long as we want to oppose the stranglehold it tries to impose upon us. This week is not an easy journey, but as usual, there are always brighter days to come. The more we hope, the more we love. And this is the seed recipe for making our world a better place. The waxing Moon reaches its fullness in Gemini just after midnight EST on Saturday night, ushering in a wave of valuable information, news, and, most importantly, an expansion of consciousness that can catapult our resolve to take the high road to more peace and unity within our communities. We just have to try our best to set aside what may divide us in the banal world of rhetoric, illusion, and exploitation.
