Though the week ahead may find us addressing pain and suffering from our past, the redemption and empathy we find by doing so can release so much repressed grief and fear, clearing the way for joys we maybe haven’t felt for a very long time. We are also skippering our vessels into more focused harbors that can help stabilize us amidst the chaotic swells of our emotions. Terra Firma, baby!

Moon in Virgo opposite Saturn in Pisces
Moon in Virgo sextile Mars in Cancer
Today’s fresh Virgo Moon works hard to structure our lives while opposing the oxymoron of Saturn in Pisces. The emotional turmoil surrounding us at this time can overwhelm us if we are not focused on diligently organizing and refining the pragmatic realities we face every day. The sea of sadness can often consume us and make it very challenging to get important work done, but if we weather those storms like bold fearless pirates we can find the focus necessary to accomplish what the Virgo Moon is asking of us.
These emotional moments don’t last forever. There are almost always cheerful sunny days ahead, so remember to zoom out and see the big picture.

Mercury ingresses Taurus
Mercury in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius
Mercury in Taurus brings a slower and more grounded approach to how we think and communicate, allowing us to harness a more focused and deliberate mental acuity in our day-to-day lives. We may be inclined to start paying closer attention to our resources and finances in order to feel a greater sense of security moving forward. When a handful of planets occupy Taurus, especially the personal planets, we tend to become more aware of our financial scenario, thus exercising greater caution when considering larger purchases.
Pluto’s influence today directly affects this fresh Mercury ingress into Taurus in a way that challenges us to reconcile our desires to invest in progressive ideals with our now vigilant approach to our spending. Any issues related to our self-confidence and abilities to sustain our lifestyle could creep into our day through a crack in the floorboards, so be sure to anticipate addressing the ways in which we can overcome the obstacles involved in order to succeed and grow toward our ideals.

Moon in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces
Moon ingresses Libra and trines Pluto in Aquarius
The dynamic bout between chaos and order looms over our morning, challenging us to keep our ducks in a row. We may not necessarily notice the contrast between these aspects of our lives, but underneath the hood there are little monsters of chaos trying to knock over all the dominoes we have carefully placed where they belong. Take heart that chaos too has a purpose, which is to encourage faith in things we cannot control. So don’t try to push the river more than you need to.
The open and flowing trine between Moon freshly into Libra and Pluto in Aquarius later in the evening shifts our gaze over to the close relationships we are in. We could be feeling unusually open to the requests or decisions our loved ones have proposed to us. This potential for obliging others can make for a delightfully congenial evening as long as we don’t give in to anything we truly don’t want to happen.

Mercury in Taurus sextile Saturn in Pisces
Sun conjunct Chiron in Aries
As we gear up for tomorrow’s Full Moon in Libra, Mercury first needs to show us how to unravel the mysterious overwhelm impacting our workload. The grounding effects of its placement in Taurus can help facilitate a sense of direction and purpose that might otherwise feel lacking in our lives right now. As I have mentioned before, Mercury in Taurus helps steady our thoughts and methods of communicating so that we can absorb and better understand anything that seems confusing. It’s like a tugboat guiding us safely into the harbor through the abominable fog and mist so we can feel the glorious earth beneath our feet again.
As the day wanes on, we could be feeling a need to face any residual pain from past traumas in our life. As unbearable as that may sound, even acknowledging any suffering we experienced in the past can bring us that much closer to liberating ourselves from psychological and emotional blockages that have been in place for a long time. And if we feel we have triumphed over much of our trauma in life, it could be that we will find ourselves consoling or bringing healing to someone who has not in some way today.

Full Moon in Libra at 12:35am EDT
Mercury conjunct Moon’s North Node in Taurus
The impact of this Full Moon in Libra is colored by the theme of past trauma mentioned earlier. It could be that we feel inclined to confide in someone close to us to rehash experiences we have suffered through in the past to help unload the heavy weight of those burdens we have carried around for so long. A Full Moon reflects the light of the Sun and the sign it is in, so we are feeling the drive and passion of the Aries Sun, which wants us to stand up for ourselves and fight through the mire of emotional pain until we are free from it. Most importantly, if we know someone who is compassionate and willing to create a safe space for us, we can feel much less afraid to speak our truth.
Adding to the potential for emotional breakthroughs during this Full Moon, Mercury’s conjunction to Moon’s North Node in Taurus acts as a beacon towards our ideal destination of triumphant self-confidence, renewal, and sustainability. All the challenges that have piled up in our lives can be met with a determination to conquer them and come out singing our melodious hymns to the world.

Moon in Scorpio trine Saturn in Pisces
Moon conjunct Moon’s South Node in Scorpio
Moon in Scorpio opposite Mercury in Taurus
The reflections of yesterday’s Full Moon in Libra are now rooting themselves down into the core of our psyche and emotional body, percolating and encouraging us to meditate upon exactly where we go from here. The shroud over our past can be peeled back to reveal pains that have hopefully now been accepted as necessary experiences on our path to redemption. The journey through our own proverbial dark night of the soul amplifies the trust that is imperative to reemerge redeemed in the golden light of dawn.
Working through these activations today can humble us and remind us that we are humans surviving the gauntlet that is life. Nobody told us there would be days like these. Nobody can escape the experiences of trauma, loss, death, or fear. But because of these truths, we develop an innate capacity to empathize and help others through their own suffering and healing. Reach out to anyone you know who may be going through a tough time right now and remind them they are not alone in their journey.

Mercury in Taurus sextile Mars in Cancer
Moon in Scorpio opposite Uranus in Taurus
Decompressing from an early morning sextile between Mercury and Mars that has likely instilled a heaping desire for nurturing, comfort, and security into our lives, we may feel a little more kind and compassionate than usual today. Embracing that accentuated kindness can work miracles for those who are in desperate need of it. The turning of the great wheels surrounding us are always encouraging love and redemption to trump fear and desolation. It is when we resist that encouragement that we stumble into darkness.
Climbing out of the turbulent tides of confusion, sorrow, and defeat requires faith in the future. Faith there will be progress, evolution, and enlightening experiences that can restore our sense of joy and wonderment in life. Today’s Moon-Uranus opposition can inspire us to develop more trust and confidence in our lives. When we are confident and can trust those we love, sparks can fly and magic can happen. Where do you see sparks flying in your future?
Once we find our focus, we can navigate through the swells of chaos much easier. Make time to be available to anyone who could use a hug and an ear, because we all need to help walk each other home.
